My design approach
I excel in cross-functional collaboration, working seamlessly with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and other Designers to solve design problems. I thrive on design thinking and iterating on challenging issues, using research to back up design decisions and create user-friendly products. My approach is deeply user-centric, ensuring that every design decision is informed by thorough research and user insights. I am passionate about creating intuitive, effective solutions that meet business goals and provide exceptional user experiences.
My background
My background includes leading design system initiatives, developing scalable components, ensuring WCAG-compliant accessibility standards and designing end to end features. Currently, I’m focused on designing an application to help educators better support students with dyslexia, with an emphasis on providing actionable data to improve teaching strategies. In this role, I lead workshops, mentor junior designers, and collaborate closely with my team to create impactful designs. Prior to this, I worked at the fintech company Stavvy, where I designed wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes, contributing to numerous projects and features. I also facilitated brainstorming sessions and design reviews to refine product features and enhance usability.
Before transitioning into product design, I worked as a makeup artist, where I honed my ability to connect with clients, understand their needs, and create tailored solutions—a skillset that continues to inform my user-centered design approach. I also have a background in the arts, having studied cartooning and illustration at the School of Visual Arts, where I developed my expertise in sequential design thinking—an approach I carry into my work as a product designer.
Offline
When I’m not designing, you can find me skating with Boston Roller Derby—whether I’m officiating matches or perfecting my footwork.
My past career as a makeup artist fueled my love for creativity, precision, and helping people feel confident. I still enjoy experimenting with colors and techniques—whether on a face or a Figma file!
At home, I spend plenty of time with my adorable dog, who keeps me company during design sprints and reminds me to take breaks for belly rubs and long walks.
I’m also an avid crafter, always working on something creative—whether it’s needle work, crochet , or tackling DIY projects to bring ideas to life.
